Welcome to our "Get to Know Us" series!
How did you get into your role?
I have been with G&H for over 5 years now. I started in the warehouse picking and packing orders all by myself. As we grew I became Warehouse Supervisor, managing my own small team. After a few years in the warehouse I was given the amazing opportunity to become part of the buying team and style our photoshoot and I haven’t looked back since! I am so grateful to say that I have my dream job 💕💕
What do you love most about your job? What is the highlight of your position?
I love that I am working in my absolute dream role, with the most amazing team who I now call my best friends. The highlight of my position would be the fact that I literally get paid to go shopping and try on clothes haha (which I am so grateful for) But not only do I get to choose products that our customers will love, I also get to see my work come to life on the photoshoot, where I get to style the pieces we have bought! 😊
How do you start your day?
Coffee always and a glass of hot lemon water.
What's your fave beauty product and why?
Eco tan face tan water - it’s organic and natural and makes my face look sunkissed, giving me the confidence to not wear makeup everyday! Highly recommend.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
Very random but I actually wanted to be a Crime Scene Investigator. Looking back on that now, there’s no way I would be able to handle that haha.
If you could win an Olympic medal for any sport, real or fake, what would it be?
Honestly I am the most uncoordinated person ever! Hahaha. Sport is not my forte! But in saying that, I am pretty good at beer pong 😂😂
What are you excited about most in your life right now?
It’s Leo season 🦁 So I am excited about celebrating my birthday - over zoom with my family & friends.
Where do you most want to visit in the world?
I would say either Greece or Italy.
What has been your worst fashion faux pas?
Gold sequin short shorts along with a tattoo choker - I don’t know what I was thinking 😂
If you could take a week off from your regular life to immerse yourself in learning something new, what would it be?
I would love to learn more about holistic health and mindfulness.
What's something you have learnt or achieved over this last year with Covid-19 and lockdowns?
I have definitely become more in touch with my spiritual side and self care. I think spending so much time with yourself and your thoughts has made me learn so much about myself.
If you could go back in time 10 years ago, what would you tell yourself?
I would tell myself to not take life too seriously and have as much fun as possible! Go out and explore the world and spend more time with the people who matter the most. Don’t waste your time on people who bring you down and don’t add any value to your life. Most importantly love yourself, be grateful and appreciate the small things.
What TV shows are you watching right now?
Animal Kingdom is back so I’ve been watching that every Sunday. Mare of Easton - this is a much watch! Money Heist.
What's a movie you can practically quote from start to finish?
100% Harry Potter.
What's a hidden talent? Or something most people wouldn't know about you?
I can sing and play guitar. 🎵
What’s your favourite thing to do with your friends?
My go to would either be all the girls coming to mine and enjoying a cheese platter and cocktails OR catching up over a coffee and brekky.
If you were a cocktail, what would you be? And why?
Espresso Martini - bold, energetic and life of the party. 🎉
Watching people on TikTok organise their pantry and fridge. 🙈
If you had a superpower, what would it be? And why?
Psychic/Medium. I would give anything to be able to communicate with my Nan again as there were many things I did not get the chance to say to her before she passed. It would also be amazing to help others be able to reconnect with there loved ones too. 💕
How would you describe your personal style?
Think all things natural and neutral with a hint of boho. 90% of my wardrobe is beige. Ooops. 😂
What's your favourite fashion piece or trend right now that you are obsessed with?
Definitely the shacket trend. I own at least 6 different plaid shirt-jackets.
What's the one staple item you can't live without?
In summer ☀️ I can’t live without my boho maxi skirts and in winter ❄️ I would say high waisted wide leg jeans.
What's in your cart from G&H this week?
Xenia High Rise Jeans and the Love Nest Crop in Tan!
